BackgroundI have been practising reflexology in Chester for over 12 years, coming from a backgound in nursing and health visiting. On completing my reflexology training in 1997(at the Simon Duncan School of reflexology on the Wirral), I continued to work part time as a nurse whilst building up my reflexology practice mainly in the Chester area, but also attracting clients from the Wirral and North Wales. After about three years, I was able to leave my nursing career behind and concentrate solely on being a reflexologist, working from my premises in Hoole, Chester, where I continue to work to date.
Over the years, I have continued to update my practice to include Indian Head Massage, Thai Foot Massage (London School of Thai Massage), Hopi Ear Candling and pressure point face massage.
My qualifications include full membership of the Association of Reflexologists (see last page for qualification details) and I have recently completed courses in nutritional advice and stress management. I studied for these with Premier Global, a company that specialises in personal fitness.General approach to treatments
I am particularly interested in the negative effects of stress on our general health. Therefore most of the treatments I offer focus on promoting relaxation to help improve physical and emotional wellbeing. A combination of approaches is used and can include guided relaxation exercises and lifestyle advice, and each session is tailor made to the client's needs.
Location
I practice from a quiet treatment room in the Hoole area of Chester which also has easy access to the Wirral and North Wales. The majority of clients come to my premises but occasional home visits can be made within the local area. There is generally parking available outside my premises during the day and within a minutes walk at busier times.
Treatments are available Mon to Fri daytime with the last appointment generally around 5pm. Unfortunately evening sessions are usually booked up long term in advance but occasional appointments may come up so please enquire. There is availability on some weekends for those who work full time or have family commitments in the week.
